Thailand, Bloomberg Class & ScrapSubmit

Some random thoughts since last weekend.

Thailand: The coup was a bit of scare over here since I am in the hedge fund industry heavily invested in Southeast Asia. It's funny also though but coming from the Philippines (Manila) wherein those things are attempted like once a year with two years (1986 and 2001) being successful, what I see Thailand's soldiers and citizens do is closely the same as what we encountered during the "revolutions". Although the 1986 one was a bit more serious than the 2001 one, I always feel the sense of justice prevailing and I feel so patriotic with all that's happened.

Bloomberg Class: been to three already as of today. Enjoy the amenities (sandwiches and huge pantry) than the classes though the latter is pretty interesting. Used a big bag today as per lesson learned from my previous two classes - to stuff more food and stuff to bring back to the office to share. :P Went there decently early but never really visited their pantry since their pantry used to be under-renovation and just getting to the place is just murder! Now that all the renovations are done (amazing work contract with what they did with the place, I'm sure), I was able to check out and finally get my drink before class instead of having to eat a dry sandwich (but good - it's from Oliver's). I was struck on how huge and amazing that pantry/kitchen was! It's like a huge 7/11 store and even looks like it can be for a kitchen cooking show! I had my choice from the immense drink stash and there were tons of food, candies, chocolates, cereals, etc! I wish I can just work for them. :P I won't have to worry about cooking at home. I can just live of the office! My next big plan - if DJing won't pan out or even get me a job, I'm applying at Bloomberg! :P

ScrapSubmit: I always wanted to start my Scrapbio but never really know what to put since I wasn't in any Design / Creative Team nor had my work published. Now that I am part of a Creative/Design Team, I ventured further to look for a place where I can have a scrapbook resume online. I still use Twopeas for my complete portfolio but it is nice to have found ScrapSubmit.com to help me direct my submissions better...and most importantly - it's free! Don't know if I would get published because it would all depend on
