Feature Alert: Sabine's First Birthday Party (featured at One Charming Day)

So honored for this...

A better view would be the below or you can use this link.

A Lilly Pulitzer Themed Birthday Party

Sabine’s 1st birthday bash is a party like no other!  It’s actually the first time I’ve seen or heard about a Lilly Pulitzer themed birthday party and if I’ll be honest, I had no idea who or what Lilly Pulitzer was until I saw this party (hihi!).  There are just so many fabulous details and I must say, Luxe Parties did a really awesome job in bringing the Lilly Pulitzer vibe and preppy taste to the party with all the vibrant pinks, greens and blues and chic colorful prints.  I specially loved the sweet treats corner where instead of the usual dessert table, you’ll find the treats beautifully displayed on mini tables, a cart and a chest with drawers.  Ornate frames, bird cages, colorful watering cans, bright pink and green flowers and the pink elephants and flamingos (very LP!) all added to the charm of the whole setup.
Sabine’s party is indeed too pretty for words! See it all here and prepare to swoon over these lovely photos captured by CasLow Photography.

It's N@W or Never: Breastfeed Your Child - A Photo Exhibit

In line with another breastfeeding month events around town that I was able and honored to join is a photo exhibit titled "It's N@W or Never! Breastfeed Your Child".  For more information about the exhibit, kindly read the below.

The Office of Senator Pia Cayetano , together with Newlyweds@Work, proudly present this breastfeeding exhibit entitled “It’s N@W or Never: Breastfeed your Child”. The entire month of August has been designated as Breastfeeding Awareness Month under Republic Act No. 10028, or the Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009. This year’s theme is "Breastfeeding Support: Close to Mothers."

Newlyweds@Work (or N@W) is an online community/support group for Filipino couples on marriage, pregnancy, parenting, family life home improvement. N@W has also become a lifeline for new moms, especially regarding breastfeeding. The exhibit showcases N@Wies who breastfeed their children and provide breastfeeding support to their fellow N@Wies. These photographs were originally intended as personal keepsakes of each mom on their breastfeeding journey. The N@W community is honored to share these to a wider audience.

Blogger Jenny Ong of Chronicles of a Nursing Mom shares how N@W patched her up with breastfeeding supporters that eventually led to a successful breastfeeding relationship with her firstborn. N@W co-founder Benz Co-Rana likewise achieved breastfeeding success with the help of several N@W breastfeeding counselors. Jenny and Benz are just two of the growing number of N@Wie moms who opt to breastfeed their children despite the 21st century challenges that come with it.

This project is a collaboration between Stanley Ong Photography and LIFE at Imagine Nation Photography. Since 2008, Stanley has taken yearly breastfeeding photographs in support of the breastfeeding advocacy and his breastfeeding photographs have been exhibited in several locations. Despite being a male photographer, he has photographed almost 100 breastfeeding mothers.

Imagine Nation Photography is a team of young and creative photographers in pursuit of excellence and perfection in their field
because of their huge love for Jesus. It has been a known brand in wedding photography for 10 years. For family celebrations, victories, and bite-sized milestones, the team brings LIFE– its fresh new name for family, portrait, and lifestyle photography.

More updates and photos soon! For now, please check out the poster and a sneak peek of the exhibit.

C's 2nd Birthday Party...and upcoming Europe trip

C's 2nd birthday is finally done!!! It was a lot of labor of love since I'm trying to save up for the food and loot bags for the kids of not only one but two parties: one for school and one at home. Thus, I had to make the birthday banner, table centerpieces, invitation and name/cup tags, balloon stickers, etc. You may think it's easy for a digi-scrapper like me but that fact that I would have to the layout and then later print and make them, so very much like being a hybrid scrapper, which I rarely do with a time limit and to make not only one or two of the same thing but of 10 variation or so...not easy!

See the end products below...

The banner...that took me about two weeks of thinking and making before I was happy with the results. What do you think? I used Mari Koegelenberg's Cutting Files: Banner Set 1

I used the Cutting Files: Rosettes of Mari Koegelenberg.

The Birthday Cake table set up with a banner, three cakes: one I ordered from E's sister, one mom ordered for C, and the middle one was a pure surprise that day from C's great-grandma. It topped all three! I ordered cake toppers of Pororo from French Kiss Pastries. Love the whole experience and service. I also ordered cupcakes for C's school the day before for a small celebration.

Chocolate with Almond filling Cake...cupcakes were from C's school party the day before by French Kiss

Great Grandma's cake for C...a real nice surprise!

For the lollypops, I used the papers in A for Awesome, Little Critters, School is Ghoul, School Rules, Today - His Paper Pack all by Mari Koegelenberg.

Creme Brulee Cake from Valle Verde 2...yummy!!!

I'm so kicking myself for not taking a picture of the loot bag table since I did so much also for it...oh well...you might be able to see it below. It's on the left side of the photo...it's so small - sorry.

I'm currently preparing for a Europe trip with my folks...which was paid for even before we found out we were pregnant so I was determined to make sure I was ready for the walk and trip in general. Wish me luck!!!

I was able to insert some layouts for Journal Your Life below that I was inspired to document another life altering experience in our family... Check out Journal Your Life by Traci Reed and Mari Koegelenberg available at Sweet Shoppe Designs.
