Wet Fall but Toasty with Feelin Fall by Shabby Scrap Designs (Deanna Patterson)

Due to Typhoon Ondoy, it was a full week with no internet connection for about two weeks! It was really trying. Got too many things to do and worry about!
Hay...good thing, I got to finish a few works and posted what I need via Dad's internet connection. :P
Oh, plus there's another rain coming over by Friday.

Fall is surely here though it's a really wet wet fall over here in Manila especially with seemingly "never-ending" typhoons visiting us. :P
I did get to be warm and toasty at home scrapping traditionally and digitally. Here's a nice kit I played with. It's by Shabby Scrap Designs (Deanna Patterson) called Feelin Fall. Here are the links:
the paper and the elements.

Here's how I used this kit.

Even after close to 2 years ago, our wedding in general still gets to people and gets randomly featured. It's wonderful to hear from strangers on how wonderful our wedding was. WeddingsatWork recently featured our caker, Peachy Juban's works and our wedding cake was no less featured again. :) Check out the full entry

Chiqui & the Dog Trainer

Got a dog trainer for little Chiqui. Check out her new trick! She's learning a lot especially getting used to the leash and going where she needs to go than just where she wants to go. :)
She's learned to stand and walk with her two feet, jump through hoops, push her ball with her two front feet, crawl, sit properly, and get used to the leash.
She's a pure joy and I couldn't have asked for any puppy else! :D

Parties Galore for October

BIRTHDAY SHOUT-OUTS!
This is continuation of the last entry since I was overly excited about the magazine launch. :) It was surely a busy week. There were so many birthday parties from start to finish aside from the magazine launch during the week.
I would like to send birthday wishes to the following people:
Oct 06 - to my brother, Jay; great treat - gotta love that Jap food!
Oct 10 - to my cousin, Jenilee; it was a rockin' party! Great food and great treats...check out the souvenier picture on the left. :D
Oct 11 - to my BFF, Tam; hope you were "surprised" with the work done by your hubby to celebrate your special day. :) Glad you liked your gift a lot!
Oct 19 - Happy Happy Birthday MOM!!!! I'm so proud to be your daughter! :)
Oct 23 - to my Cuz Ken, Happy Birthday and may you have tons and tons more birthdays to come! :) Great party!
Oct 24 - Happy Birthday, Sister Rhea! May you have many many more birthdays (and maybe babies) to come!
Wishing all of you a wonderful and great year ahead!

LANE CRAWFORD HOME
This is what I miss about Hong Kong...random invites to interesting shows, previews like this one. Did I tell you that I totally love the new Lane Crawford Home in Pacific Place? Well, I do love it to bits! Every square inch of the store is filled with wonderful and "my styled" furnitures, decors, amenities, etc! Ah...the Luxe Life indeed...
I love the contemporary theme of the place...tres chic!
It's also one of the places to get my fav tea brands, Mariage Freres, from France, which is the tea brand served at Agnes b Cafe and considered one of the best tea brands in the world.
I remember purchasing one of the unique woven pillow covers there too...still looking for the perfect couch to pair it. :P
Lane Crawford Home is an essential visit when you go to HK, especially Pacific Place. :)

SWONG: WISHING YOU WELL...TILL THE NEXT FOODSCAPE
My BBF pal, Swong, will be heading to DC next month to start a new chapter (a new life and job). I'm so going to miss her. She's my big sister in HK when I was there all alone so I'll surely feel very lost whenever I go to HK since we had so many cool excursions - Stanley, Discovery Bay, Repulse Bay, Tai Tam, Cybermall, Happy Valley, etc.
Although it would be a nice thing to visit her in DC when the time comes... :D

Etsy.com Feature
It's been awhile since I checked out Etsy but I'm glad I did today. I haven't seen the latest season of Project Runway (Season 4) but it was exciting to find out who won, because Etsy wrote an article featuring Etsy items that represent the new winner. So cool! I feel the "eco-beauty" of the creative sellers of the site. :D
**Warning- the article is a big spoiler…so unless you still want to keep Project Runway 4's winner a secret, I suggest you cover your eyes and just check out the sample photos below. :D
Ode to Project Runway's Contestant
My favorites are the following

(1) Micro Tile Hydrangea
(2) Aqua-licious scallop dish
(3) Custom Order, Medium Coffee/Cocktail Table

Do you see a pattern? I sure love my circles and curves. :)

Photos are Up!

Photos to share! There were so many photos taken so it was so hard to choose!!! Thanks so much to Sister Mandy who sent this award! Sending this to Bethie, Dawn, Val, Cris and Steph since they are all wonderful gal pals! The rules are: * The winner may put the logo on his or her blog * Put a link to the person you got the award from * Nominate five blogs * Put links to the blogs * Leave a message to the nominees Thanks for Cris for this above award! It's truely an honor. :D Sending this to Malou, MizzM, Cayla, Val and Mandy. Sometimes I do wonder how women manage a career and a successful homelife. I believe it would feel like how Tina Fey does it here. Love this ad. It surely is a balacing act for everyone, not only for the wife/mother, but also with everyone in the family. The husband should be willing to help make this work. Although I'm currently happy with where E and I are - happily married (no kids) couple, I know the inevitable is coming since both our folks would like to be grandparents at some point. E's quite supportive with my demanding work since he knows it pushes me to be a better person, but if a kid comes into the picture, I'm wondering if he would allow me to have such a stressful job. Heck, I wonder if I would even stay in the job if there will be risks on the kid/baby. I have a few friends who have been bedridden from Day 1 of being pregnant. I wonder how things will be... These are the things I do think about from time to tim...but recently seeing this ad, it brings about a lot more questions that E and I would need to discuss sooner or later. Speaking of babies, CL's going to be a mommy soon! You and B will surely be wonderful parents!

BIG THANKS TO THOSE WHO VOTED! Please check this out! I recently won Layout Of The Week here! I won for my layout titled, "The day started...". Thanks so much TTS and DawneC for voting my layout as Layout Of the Day to start with. :D

More news to come within the week. I'll post more by next week and hope to get some layouts out in either trad-scrap or digi-scrap. :D ********************************
